Decorated Christmas Tree Not Drinking Water
If you intend to plant this tree in the spring it will not survive indoors for more than the week or two in the room.
Decorated christmas tree not drinking water. This may sound easy but it becomes a problem if your christmas tree is not drinking water. I know that i should cut the bottom but with it being. So i waited and i waited.
The more water you give to the tree the longer it will last just like cut flowers. You may try recutting the bottom of the trunk but that is usually impractical with the tree already trimmed. Here s something you can try though.
The most common reason is that the sap has run a bit or the end has dried out which will block. Those above are right your tree probably is having a hard time soaking up water. Water it well so it cant go dry.
I have bought a real christmas tree two days ago and realized it did not drink water so i thought it was because it s not dry yet. Hot water may have sealed the base of the tree so it can t drink. Do not use chemicals or sprays to try and revive the tree these do nothing to improve the water retention of the tree and might actually prevent the tree from getting as much water as it needs.
The stand should hold at least a gallon of water and be filled at least daily. Otherwise nothing get rid of the tree the day after christmas. Give it a protected zone and put it in as large a container as you can see the tree needing.
Remove as much water as you can and then. Keep watering it as long as the bucket will accept it. A fresh christmas tree needs a lot of water to remain green.
